Professional Background

I bring more than 20 years of experience helping leaders and organizations navigate growth, change, and complex leadership challenges. My career spans executive coaching, leadership development, organizational consulting, workforce transformation, and change management across the public, private, nonprofit, and higher education sectors.

Prior to founding Wilson Chapman & Associates, I held leadership and consulting roles with Accenture, Deloitte, and Booz Allen Hamilton, where I partnered with executives and senior leaders to improve organizational effectiveness, lead strategic initiatives, and manage large-scale transformation efforts.

As Founder & Managing Principal of Wilson Chapman & Associates, I coach executives, senior leaders, entrepreneurs, and emerging leaders to strengthen leadership effectiveness, executive presence, communication, decision-making, and team performance. I also advise organizations on culture, leadership alignment, executive transitions, and organizational change.

My clients have included leaders from the National Security Agency (NSA), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), FirstBank USVI, Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana, and Protocall Communications.

I have particular experience supporting leaders through executive transitions, leading organizational change initiatives, coaching first-time executives, and helping organizations build stronger leadership cultures. My approach combines evidence-based coaching with practical business experience, enabling leaders to translate insight into meaningful and lasting results.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is rooted in a simple belief: leadership is personal before it is organizational. The decisions leaders make are shaped not only by strategy and experience, but also by identity, relationships, culture, and the environments in which they lead. My role is to help leaders navigate all of it.

I work best with leaders who are carrying significant responsibility, often in complex environments where there isn't a playbook. They may be leading through organizational change, stepping into a larger role, repairing culture, navigating political dynamics, or serving as the first or only person in the room who looks like them. These moments require more than accountability. They require a confidential space to think, process, challenge assumptions, and make difficult decisions with confidence.

My clients know they can bring the conversations they cannot have anywhere else. Together, we examine not only what decision to make, but how to lead through it with authenticity, courage, and integrity. I ask thoughtful questions, offer honest observations, introduce evidence-based assessments when appropriate, and draw from more than two decades of experience in executive coaching, organizational consulting, and large-scale change management.

Because I have led transformation initiatives within complex organizations and coached leaders through executive transitions, heightened visibility, and organizational uncertainty, I understand that leadership is rarely exercised under ideal conditions. It often requires influencing without authority, building trust during change, managing competing stakeholder expectations, and remaining grounded while others are looking to you for direction.

Ultimately, my goal is not simply to help clients become better leaders. It is to help them become the kind of leader people trust to navigate uncertainty, inspire confidence, and leave an organization stronger than they found it.
