It’s a real challenge to foster a sense of togetherness and teamwork in a virtual environment, yet it’s crucial to the success of any high-performing team. So, once a quarter, we organize a quarterly Zoom meetup for our Black Digital team. We provide lunch and feature a guest speaker who delves into topics chosen by our team.
Our Q4 session featured Mali Phonpadith, CEO of SOAR Community Network, LLC. Mali is a champion in building compassionate, cohesive, and collaborative communities. I had the pleasure of meeting her last year in the Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc. (Wacif) Ascend accelerator program. Her session was incredibly engaging and one of my favorites.
Mali led us through a session on personality types, the fun reasons behind occasional conflicts (lol), and strategies for handling assignments outside our comfort zones. It was an enriching experience that left us all inspired and motivated. I’m still on cloud 9.
